Yes! Having a back up plan is what I call being double-minded about whatever it is you are trying to achieve. It’s distracting.

The idea that having a back up plan is a distraction and that you need to have a single-minded focus on your dream job implies that people are not capable of pursuing two dreams at once. Are you also recommending Unitasking over Multi-tasking because that is essentially the same idea.

You can pursue more than one dream at a time. However, I believe it’s a mistake to approach your primary dream with a half-hearted approach because you have a back-up plan.
